Description
Diversity and Inclusion: Spotting Bias and Building Inclusive Daily Practices
One day to spot the biases that creep into decisions and make your management practices more inclusive
- 1 day — 7 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
The same profiles keep being selected for high-visibility projects. An application is set aside on the basis of an impression that is hard to put into words. A joke in a meeting leaves a team member uncomfortable and no one says anything. Stated intentions are not reflected in day-to-day decisions.
One day devoted to management practices rather than principles. You review the criteria behind your decisions in recruitment, performance reviews and the allocation of assignments. You practise responding to a remark that excludes someone. You leave with observable criteria and practical guidance for adjusting working arrangements to the situations you encounter.
Learning objectives
- Identify the biases at work in recruitment and performance review
- Analyse how assignments and opportunities are distributed within your team
- Facilitate meetings in which everyone genuinely has airtime
- Respond to a remark or a joke that excludes a colleague
- Adapt work organisation to a disability or a personal constraint
