Description
Finance and Sustainability: Embedding ESG Criteria, Funding and Steering the Transition
Connecting sustainability commitments to the company's financing and investment decisions
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
Finance departments are increasingly handed sustainability matters without the data or the methods to address them. Non-financial indicators sit alongside management reporting rather than within it. Investors and banks ask questions that financial statements do not answer.
These two days connect the finance function to transition issues. Participants learn to position the expectations of capital providers and then to embed sustainability criteria into investment analysis. They work on collecting non-financial data and on building a performance framework that combines economic results with the commitments made.
Learning objectives
- Position the sustainability expectations of investors and banks
- Organise the collection and reliability of non-financial data
- Embed sustainability criteria into investment appraisal
- Identify financing instruments linked to sustainability commitments
- Build a performance framework combining financial and transition indicators
