Description

GEO Generative Engine Optimisation: Understand, Structure and Measure Your Visibility

Making your content citable by generative answer engines and measuring what it brings back

  • 1 day — 7 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

A growing share of searches now ends with a generated answer rather than a list of links. Traffic declines while the brand is cited elsewhere, or disappears from answers without anyone being able to explain why. Traditional search optimisation habits remain useful but are no longer enough to understand what gets picked up.

This one-day introduction sets out the fundamentals of GEO: how answer engines select and cite their sources, the characteristics that make content reusable, how to structure a page so that it is picked up, and the indicators to monitor. Participants analyse their own content and leave with a prioritised action plan.

Learning objectives

  • Explain how a generative answer engine selects and cites its sources
  • Distinguish GEO practices from those of classic search engine optimisation
  • Structure a page to make it easier to reuse in a generated answer
  • Set up monitoring of brand citations within generated answers
  • Prioritise the content to be reworked according to its citation potential

What makes this programme different

The content analysed belongs to the participants rather than being demonstration examples
Each participant leaves with a prioritised rewriting plan for their own pages
A citation tracking dashboard is built and populated during the day
