Description
Google Workspace: Sharing Documents, Co-Editing and Organising Team Work
Work on the same files as a team without losing track of versions or access rights
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
In many teams the move to Google Workspace happened without any shared ground rules. Files still travel as email attachments, everyone stores their own copy in their personal Drive and nobody knows which version is authoritative. Sharing permissions are granted case by case and then forgotten, and meetings are prepared in documents the participants cannot find again.
These two days establish a collective way of working with the tools. Participants learn to organise a shared drive and set access levels, to co-write a document using comments and suggestions, to work in a shared spreadsheet, and to combine Gmail, Calendar and Meet to coordinate a team without multiplying messages.
Learning objectives
- Organise a shared drive with a folder structure that remains workable over time
- Set file access rights according to the genuine needs of each recipient
- Co-write a document using comments, suggestions and version history
- Use a shared spreadsheet to collect information from several contributors
- Coordinate a team with Gmail, Calendar and Meet without unnecessary exchanges
