Description

Insurance Distribution Conduct: Structuring the Duty to Advise, Record-Keeping and Team Training

Align insurance distribution with UAE conduct requirements without making the sales interview any longer

  • 2.14 days — 15 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Conduct requirements applicable to insurance distribution often translate into ever-longer questionnaires and incomplete files. The adviser gathers information that is never used, and the written record does not make it possible to justify the advice given.

This virtual programme takes each obligation and works through its practical impact on the sales interview. Fifteen hours of individually paced work cover the collection of client demands and needs, the formalisation of advice, the prevention of conflicts of interest and transparency on remuneration, together with product governance and the ongoing training of distributors.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the obligations applicable to each type of distributor
  • Collect client demands and needs in a usable form
  • Formalise a recommendation linked to the needs collected
  • Prevent and handle conflict-of-interest situations
  • Build a written record that justifies the advice given
  • Organise the follow-up of ongoing training for teams

What makes this programme different

The programme is delivered virtually at the participant's own pace, in short sequences slotted between two client appointments
Each obligation is translated into a question to ask and a statement to record in the file
Advice files are reviewed using an audit grid provided during the programme
