Description
Life Insurance in Private Wealth Management: Advising, Switching and Documenting the Advice
Use life insurance as a wealth planning tool and secure every stage of the advisory process
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
In private wealth management, a life insurance contract rarely serves a single purpose. It combines capital accumulation, succession planning and the organisation of supplementary income. Difficulties arise when the beneficiary clause has never been reviewed, when the allocation no longer matches the client's horizon, or when the advice given was never documented.
This short programme revisits the contract from an advisory standpoint: gathering objectives and family circumstances, selecting funds and executing switches, drafting the beneficiary clause, handling withdrawals and policy advances, and finally producing a written record of the advice delivered.
Learning objectives
- Gather the client's wealth objectives and family circumstances
- Build an allocation consistent with the stated horizon and risk tolerance
- Draft a beneficiary clause suited to the family configuration
- Handle a withdrawal or policy advance request in line with the objective pursued
- Document the advice delivered and keep a trace of the switches proposed
