Description

No-Code AI Automation: Mapping, Building and Securing Your Workflows

Connect your everyday tools to an AI model and eliminate recurring manual re-entry

  • 0.43 days — 3 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Copying an attachment into a folder, re-entering a request in a spreadsheet, notifying a colleague and then filing the message: these sequences repeat every day and break down as soon as one person is away. No-code and low-code platforms make it possible to automate them, with an AI model handling the steps that require reading or drafting.

This short format sets out the method: describe the workflow as it actually happens, break it down into automatable steps, build a first scenario and, above all, plan for what happens when a step fails.

Learning objectives

  • Describe a sequence of tasks in terms of a trigger and actions
  • Identify which steps can be automated and which must remain manual
  • Build a simple scenario linking two tools on a no-code platform
  • Insert an AI-model processing step into a workflow
  • Plan error handling and manual recovery when a workflow stalls

What makes this programme different

The automated workflow is chosen from participants' real day-to-day tasks
Every scenario is deliberately made to fail in order to test recovery
A tracking table of automations and their owners is started during the session

Programme

1Mapping the actual workflow

Describe before automating

  • Inventory of repetitive tasks and how often they occur
  • Description in terms of trigger, conditions and actions
  • Identifying steps that require human judgement
  • Estimating the expected gain and the risk in the event of failure

2Building a first scenario

Linking two tools without writing code

  • How connectors work and how data is passed from one step to the next
  • Filters and conditions to avoid unnecessary triggers
  • Inserting a reading or drafting step handled by an AI model
  • Testing on a representative set of examples

3Making it reliable and sustainable

An unmonitored automation eventually does more harm than good

  • Handling failures and sending alerts to an identified owner
  • Manual recovery and traceability of runs
  • Sensitive data and the scope of what is transferred
  • Owner and periodic review of each scenario

Who is it for

Executive assistants, administrative officers, back-office staff and team leaders dealing with repetitive data-entry and forwarding tasks.
