Power BI Online: Viewing, Interacting with and Sharing Reports Day to Day

Make full use of a published report without waiting for the business intelligence team to answer every question

The report is published but the reader stops at the first page. They do not know how to filter, drill into a figure down to its detail or find the current version. They export the data to a spreadsheet to redo their own calculations and email questions that the report already answers.

This one-day programme is designed for users of the online service, not for its administrators. Participants learn to navigate between workspaces and apps, to filter and cross-filter visuals, to create their own bookmarks and alerts, and to share content in line with their organisation's distribution rules.

Users of Power BI reports, together with operational managers, management controllers and administrative staff who consult and distribute dashboards.

Prerequisites

Ability to navigate a web browser and read a dashboard containing figures.

Practical details

Before the programme
Online positioning questionnaire. Your development objectives are shared with the trainer, who tailors the practical case studies to your context.
Teaching methods
Theoretical input, workshops and practical case studies. Digital course materials and method sheets provided.
Assessment
Multiple-choice tests and role-play exercises. Assessment of learning at the start and end of the programme, with immediate and 60-day follow-up evaluations.
After the programme
One year of access to the e-learning platform. Self-assessment of the skills acquired and a 30-day follow-up session with your trainer.
