Description
Property Manager: Managing the Portfolio, Leases and Service Providers
Holding the Property Manager role between owner requirements, tenant expectations and budget
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
The Property Manager constantly balances the returns expected by the owner against the requests of tenants. Leases contain service charge clauses whose allocation is challenged year after year. Service provider contracts are renewed without any performance review, and works are committed one emergency at a time.
These two days bring structure to the role. You use the lease as a day-to-day management tool. You build a building budget and a service charge reconciliation that will stand up to scrutiny. You steer service providers through performance indicators. Finally, you plan works across several financial years and report to the owner.

- Use lease clauses as a day-to-day management tool
- Build a building budget and the associated service charge reconciliation
- Steer service providers through clearly defined performance indicators
