Description
Public Speaking: Building Arguments, Engaging and Convincing an Audience
Move from a competent presentation to an intervention that genuinely shifts your audience's position
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
Presenting well is not always enough. In front of an executive committee, a client or a large audience, the challenge is no longer to explain but to win the decision. Arguments often remain descriptive, objections destabilise the speaker, and personal conviction fails to translate into buy-in.
Two days to build an argument designed around your audience, anchor it with concrete evidence, hold your ground under challenge and craft both the opening and the close. The work takes place in the room through successive speaking turns in front of the group, based on real interventions.
Learning objectives
- Analyse your audience to identify its expectations and points of resistance
- Build a structured argument supported by evidence
- Select the images and phrases that make a message memorable
- Respond to objections without losing control of your intervention
- Open and close a talk in a way that calls for a decision
