A solar or wind project takes several years to build. Land rights are committed early, approvals come late, and the business model depends on support and procurement mechanisms that project teams often understand only partially. Power sale clauses are signed without their impact on financing being anticipated.

Two days, in-person or virtual, to set out the legal framework of these projects. You distinguish the regimes applicable to each technology and each location. You identify the approvals required and the order in which they must be obtained. You spot the sensitive provisions of land agreements and power purchase agreements, as well as the challenges that opponents and third parties may raise.

Teaching methods

Assessment
Multiple-choice tests and role-play exercises. Assessment of learning at the start and end of the programme, with immediate and 60-day follow-up evaluations.
