SketchUp — 3D Modelling: Design, Lay Out and Present Projects in Three Dimensions

Three days to turn a site survey into a 3D model that clients understand immediately

The fit-out proposal is explained on a line drawing and with hand gestures. The client cannot picture the volumes, approves the concept, then discovers the result on site. Last-minute changes are expensive and every layout variant requires a complete new drawing.

These 21 hours are devoted to 3D modelling of a space or an object. Participants draw from a site survey, build reusable volumes, then organise their model into groups and components. They dress the model with materials and produce the views and documents to be presented to the client.

Who is it for

Interior designers, fit-out specialists, joiners, set designers and design office technicians new to 3D modelling.

Prerequisites

Confident everyday use of a computer and the ability to read a dimensioned drawing.

Practical details

Before the programme
Online positioning questionnaire. Your development objectives are shared with the trainer, who tailors the practical case studies to your context.
Teaching methods
Theoretical input, workshops and practical case studies. Digital course materials and method sheets provided.
Assessment
Multiple-choice tests and role-play exercises. Assessment of learning at the start and end of the programme, with immediate and 60-day follow-up evaluations.
After the programme
One year of access to the e-learning platform. Self-assessment of the skills acquired and a 30-day follow-up session with your trainer.
