Description

Social Media for Beginners: Choosing Platforms, Posting and Engaging

Start on social media with solid fundamentals rather than copying what everyone else is doing

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Opening an account is simple; keeping it alive is far less so. The first posts go out without any editorial direction, formats change from one week to the next, and activity fades away for lack of time. The organisation ends up with incomplete profiles, unanswered messages and the impression that nothing is working.

These two days set the foundations: understanding the logic of each platform, optimising your profiles, producing simple posts and maintaining a realistic publishing rhythm. Every participant leaves with an editorial calendar covering the coming weeks and the right reflexes for engaging their community. Building a full strategy belongs to the next level.

Learning objectives

  • Distinguish the uses and audiences of the main social platforms
  • Optimise your organisation's profiles and pages
  • Produce clear posts adapted to the format of each platform
  • Plan your content on a sustainable editorial calendar
  • Engage your community and respond to incoming messages

What makes this programme different

Participants' actual profiles are reviewed and corrected during the session
A post is created and published live on the organisation's account
An editorial calendar covering the following weeks is finalised before you leave
