Description
Solvency II and Risk-Based Capital: Reading the Review, Adjusting the Pillars, Preparing the Work
Position the expected changes to the Solvency II framework and identify the work to launch within the insurance undertaking
- 0.43 days — 3 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
Insurance undertakings have stabilised their Solvency II arrangements, yet the review of the framework is putting several topics back in motion. Key function holders and finance leadership are asking what will actually change in the calculation and in the reporting. Discussions often remain at the level of principles without translating into a work plan.
Three hours in a virtual classroom to step back and examine the evolution of the prudential framework and its operational consequences: effects on the calculation of capital requirements, on the governance of key functions and on regulatory reporting templates. The session is designed for participants already familiar with the three pillars who wish to anticipate the work ahead.
Learning objectives
- Position the main areas under review in the prudential framework
- Assess the expected effects on the calculation of capital requirements
- Identify the consequences for governance and key functions
- Anticipate changes to reporting templates and regulatory disclosures
- Build the internal preparation work plan
