Description

Sustainability Reporting: Framing the Scope, Collecting and Assuring the Data

Organising the production of sustainability information with the rigour expected in accounting

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • All levels
  • Up to 6 participants

Sustainability reporting pushes towards accounting teams data they are not used to handling: consumption figures, workforce data, supplier information and estimates drawn from heterogeneous sources. Collection channels are recent, controls are limited, and yet this information will have to withstand external assurance.

Two hours to frame the approach: double materiality assessment, selection of the information to be disclosed, organisation of data collection and the control framework. This short format addresses the production of sustainability information and its reliability from the perspective of accounting and finance teams.

Learning objectives

  • Position the sustainability information expected in the management report
  • Conduct a double materiality assessment
