Description
Sustainable Events: Designing, Sourcing and Measuring Impact
Deliver a professional event that is consistent with your organisation's environmental commitments
- 1 day — 7 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
A seminar or exhibition generates travel, catering, printing and single-use materials. Organisers are now expected to justify these choices, yet they often lack practical benchmarks for balancing attendee comfort, budget control and impact reduction.
One day to review every component of an event and decide what can be removed, reduced, shared or replaced. Participants build a criteria grid for selecting suppliers and a tracking table to report results once the event is over.
Learning objectives
- Identify the main impact areas of a professional event
- Weigh up options for venue, catering and transport
- Draft environmental criteria that can be used in a supplier consultation
- Organise the second life of materials and unused supplies
- Report results to stakeholders
