Description

The Communication Officer’s Role: Framing, Writing and Distributing Messages

Two days to handle the day-to-day duties of the role when you took it on without formal training

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

In many organisations, communication is entrusted to someone who handles it alongside another role. Requests arrive in no particular order, everyone asks for their own material, and content is produced without any clarity on the objective actually being pursued.

These two days address the core of the role: framing a request, building a simple action plan, writing everyday materials and organising distribution. Unlike the longer six-day programme, this format concentrates on the essential practices and covers neither event management nor supplier coordination.

Learning objectives

  • Frame a communication request with the internal requester
  • Build an action plan that fits on a single page
  • Write a message suited to the chosen channel
  • Organise the distribution and follow-up of publications
  • Prioritise competing internal requests

What makes this programme different

A two-day format focused on the essential practices of the role, with no event management component
A request framing template that can be used as soon as you return to work
A rewriting workshop based on materials brought by participants
