Description

US GAAP Consolidation: Mastering the Process, Comparing Standards and Securing Reporting Packages

Produce a consolidation under US GAAP and position the treatment differences against IFRS standards

  • 0.43 days — 3 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

A UAE-based subsidiary integrated into a US group must report its accounts under a framework it does not apply day to day. The definition of the consolidation scope, the presentation rules and the reporting timetable all differ from local practice. Exchanges with the parent company multiply at every closing.

This three-hour session sets out the US GAAP consolidation process and its specific features. Participants follow the production chain from the reporting package through to the consolidated financial statements and identify the treatments that depart from IFRS practice and generate adjustments.

Learning objectives

  • Position the normative sources and the organisation of the US GAAP framework
  • Determine the consolidation scope under US rules
  • Describe the stages in producing consolidated financial statements
  • Identify the main treatment differences with IFRS standards
  • Prepare a reporting package that meets parent company requirements
