Description

Word — Word Processing: Typing, Formatting and Printing Your First Documents

Produce a clear letter and a print-ready document on your own, without reworking the layout ten times over

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Drafting a memo still takes far too long: the text shifts as soon as a sentence is added, alignments have been achieved with the space bar, and the printed page never matches what appears on screen. With no clear reference points, users work around the difficulties instead of using the tools designed for the job.

These 14 hours establish the essential actions in the right order: typing and correcting text, formatting it with the appropriate tools, inserting a table and an image, then preparing the document for printing. Every concept is applied immediately to everyday business documents such as letters, internal memos and meeting reports.

Learning objectives

  • Type and correct text using cut, copy, paste and automatic correction
  • Format characters and paragraphs using the dedicated tools
  • Create bulleted lists and numbering that updates automatically
  • Insert a simple table and adjust its presentation
  • Insert an image and position it in relation to the text
  • Set margins, headers and print preview for a document

What makes this programme different

Every concept is applied to a genuine business document before moving on to the next
The most common bad habits, such as repeated line breaks, are corrected from day one
