Description
Training Evaluation: Measuring Learning, Tracking Impact and Reporting Results
Seven hours to move beyond the satisfaction survey and show what your training has actually changed
- 1 day — 7 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
At the end of every session the feedback forms come back with strong scores. Three months later, nobody can say whether working practices have shifted. Management asks for evidence of effectiveness, the sponsor asks for indicators, and the trainer has nothing more than an average satisfaction rating that says nothing about the skills people gained.
These 7 hours address evaluation across all of its levels. Participants build an assessment aligned with a learning objective, rework their end-of-session questionnaire, set up a delayed measurement involving both the learner and the line manager, then prepare the presentation of results to the sponsor.
Learning objectives
- Distinguish the levels of training evaluation and the purpose each one serves
- Build an assessment that genuinely measures the achievement of a learning objective
- Design an end-of-session questionnaire that can be used to improve the course
- Set up a delayed evaluation of transfer to the workplace
- Present results to a sponsor in a form they can act on
