Description
Leadership and Communication: Structure Your Message, Convince and Bring People With You
Two days to make sure your management communication finally lands the way you intend
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
The message was clear in your head. In the meeting it was misunderstood, in the one-to-one it came across as criticism, and in the follow-up note nobody retained the essential point. Managers spend a large part of their day speaking without always measuring what others actually take away.
This two-day programme focuses solely on the manager's communication: structuring a message, adapting it to the audience, listening for real and holding your ground in tense exchanges. Unlike work on managerial presence, everything here centres on what is actually exchanged.
Learning objectives
- Structure a management message around one main idea supported by facts
- Adapt your level of detail to the real needs of your audience
- Practise active listening that brings out what a team member is not saying
- Facilitate a team meeting and draw out those who stay silent
- Respond to an objection raised in public without damaging the relationship
