Description
Personality-Based Communication: Decode, Adapt and Defuse
Understand why the same instruction motivates one team member and completely blocks the next
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
A manager who communicates in the same way with everyone obtains uneven results. Some team members want data and deadlines; others need to understand the purpose before engaging with the subject. Under pressure, each person reacts according to stable patterns: one floods the conversation with detail, another becomes defensive, a third withdraws.
These two intermediate-level days draw on a reading of personality profiles applied to management. They enable you to identify each person's preferred communication channel, adjust the way you phrase a message and defuse stress reactions before they escalate into conflict.
Learning objectives
- Identify the personality indicators observable in day-to-day exchanges
- Recognise your own preferred communication channel and its blind spots
- Adapt the phrasing of an instruction to the profile of the person concerned
- Recognise the stress behaviours specific to each profile
- Defuse a stress reaction before conflict escalates
