Description

ISO 9001 Internal Quality Auditor: Preparing, Conducting and Reporting an Audit

Conduct internal audits that genuinely improve the management system instead of ticking boxes

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Many internal audits end up as a documentation check: the auditor confirms that a procedure exists without ever observing what actually happens on the ground. Reports list minor non-conformities with no order of priority, and the action plans that follow change nothing. Appointed auditors often lack a method for questioning a process and writing a finding that will stand up to challenge.

This two-day in-person programme professionalises internal audit practice against the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. From preparing the audit plan through to presenting conclusions to senior management, every stage is practised in realistic conditions. The session closes with the assessment provided for under the certification pathway.

Learning objectives

  • Prepare an internal audit based on process and risk analysis
  • Build an audit plan and a targeted questioning guide
  • Conduct audit interviews and gather tangible evidence
  • Write factual findings linked to a specific requirement
  • Produce a prioritised and usable audit report
  • Present conclusions to auditees and to senior management

What makes this programme different

Participants audit a simulated process while being observed and then debriefed on their questioning technique
Every finding drafted is tested against the evidence-to-requirement link before validation
The programme closes with the assessment provided for under the certification pathway
