Description
Conduct Knowledge Standards: Assessing, Maintaining and Evidencing Competence
An English-language pathway for client-facing teams serving an international client base
- 0.43 days — 3 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
In institutions whose teams operate in English across several regulatory environments, assessing the knowledge required of client-facing staff runs into a simple difficulty: the regulatory vocabulary used day to day is not always the vocabulary used in the assessment materials or in the group's home-office documentation. Competent professionals then answer beside the point on subjects they actually master.
This online pathway, open for three months, covers the assessment and ongoing maintenance of client-facing knowledge using the terminology of international teams based in the UAE. It aligns local supervisory expectations with internationally recognised conduct and suitability principles, and is designed for staff who advise, inform and report in English.
Learning objectives
- Position knowledge and competence requirements within international regulatory terminology
- Assess your own level of knowledge in English
- Restate client information and disclosure obligations in English
- Identify terminology gaps that lead to compliance errors
- Document the pathway completed for supervisory and audit purposes
