Description
DISC Communication Styles: Know Your Profile, Read Others and Adapt
Two days to identify your communication style and adjust your exchanges to the profile of the person in front of you
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Two capable professionals can fail to understand each other simply because they do not communicate in the same way: one gets straight to the point while the other expects context, one decides quickly while the other asks for data. These differences in style create tensions that are wrongly attributed to a lack of goodwill.
This 14-hour programme is based on the DISC model and its four dominant styles. Participants position themselves using a questionnaire, learn to identify the style of the people they work with from observable cues, and adapt the way they present information according to the profile in front of them.
Learning objectives
- Identify your dominant style and your fallback style using the model
- Describe the four styles through observable behaviours
- Identify the likely style of a counterpart during an exchange
- Adapt the form of a message to the style of its recipient
- Anticipate sources of friction between two opposing styles
