Description
Agile Coach: Supporting Teams, Facilitating Ceremonies and Building Autonomy
Moving from the expert who supplies the answer to the practitioner who helps the team move forward
- 3 days — 21 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Many teams run agile ceremonies without gaining any real benefit: retrospectives that go nowhere, daily stand-ups turned into reporting sessions, the facilitator role taken on by default. Whoever holds that role often lacks the tools to intervene without deciding on the team's behalf.
Three days to build the agile coach posture around listening, questioning and facilitation. Unlike a DevOps track focused on the technical pipeline, this programme addresses how a team functions as a group and the interventions that help it take ownership.
Learning objectives
- Distinguish the coach, trainer, mentor and facilitator postures
- Conduct a coaching conversation built on questioning
- Facilitate a retrospective that leads to actions that are actually followed up
- Assess a team's maturity and propose a suitable intervention
- Handle a situation of conflict or disengagement within a team
- Define your intervention scope with management
