Description

AI-Assisted Reversibility Plan: Scoping, Drafting and Stress-Testing a Provider Exit

Prepare the exit of a service provider using AI support to produce a reversibility plan that is genuinely usable

  • 0.43 days — 3 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Reversibility is discussed when the contract is signed and then forgotten until the day the provider has to be replaced. The data sits in a proprietary format, the documentation is incomplete and nobody knows how long the handover will take. The plan remains a contractual paragraph with no operational substance.

This three-hour virtual session shows how to produce a workable reversibility plan with the support of an artificial intelligence assistant. Participants scope what has to be taken back in-house, generate and then correct the expected deliverables, and stress-test the plan through an exit scenario.

Learning objectives

  • Define the scope of data documentation and skills to be taken back in-house
  • Structure a reversibility plan into phases and deliverables
  • Write precise instructions for an artificial intelligence assistant to produce these deliverables
  • Review and correct generated outputs before circulating them
  • Stress-test the plan through a time-boxed exit scenario

What makes this programme different

The plan is produced during the session from a real contract brought by the participant
Every output from the assistant is reviewed against a checklist defined in the session
An exit scenario is run to verify that the plan holds within the stated timeframes

Programme

1Scoping reversibility

Knowing what will have to be taken back

  • Scope of data interfaces and documentation
  • Skills and know-how held by the provider
  • Contractual clauses to rely on
  • Conditions and timeframes for returning assets

2Producing the deliverables with AI

Giving the assistant a precise framework

  • Wording instructions and providing context
  • Generating the phased plan and handover sheets
  • Limits of generated outputs and information that must not be shared
  • Review checklist and correction of deliverables

3Testing and maintaining the plan

Checking before you need it

  • Exit scenario and allocation of roles
  • Blocking points revealed by the test
  • Updating the plan as the contract evolves
  • Reporting back to governance bodies

Who is it for
