Description

AML/CFT e-Learning: Identify, Monitor and Report in One Month

A short online programme to build the AML/CFT reflexes expected of every banking employee

  • 0.43 days — 3 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing obligations apply to every employee in contact with clients, not only to the compliance function. Client due diligence, risk-based vigilance, detection of unusual transactions and escalation of suspicion form a chain in which a single weak link is enough to place the institution at fault.

This e-learning programme, accessible for one month, builds the expected reflexes: identifying and verifying the client, adjusting vigilance to the level of risk, spotting unusual transactions and knowing to whom a suspicion should be escalated. The express format is designed for employees who need to get up to speed quickly.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the due diligence obligations applicable to your role
  • Verify the identity of the client and its beneficial owner
  • Adjust the level of vigilance to the risk presented
  • Spot an unusual transaction within your own activity
  • Escalate a suspicion through the prescribed internal channel
