Description
Anti-Bribery Compliance Programme: Design, Roll Out and Sustain
A code of conduct circulated to everyone and a framework that no one keeps alive beyond the legal department
- 1 day — 7 h
- In-person or virtual
- Intermediate
- Up to 6 participants
Many organisations hold all the expected components of an anti-bribery programme without the whole functioning as a system. The code of conduct is circulated but rarely read, training reaches the same populations year after year, accounting controls are not linked to any identified risk and executive management stays at a distance.
This one-day programme addresses the architecture of the framework rather than any single pillar taken in isolation: the role of the governing body, how the components connect, the resources given to the compliance function, roll-out across subsidiaries and free zone entities, and measurement of real effectiveness. Participants leave with a deployment roadmap.
Learning objectives
- Structure the components of an anti-bribery programme into a coherent whole
- Define the governance of the programme and the role of the governing body
- Draft a code of conduct that is readable and enforceable towards employees
- Build a training plan targeted at exposed populations
- Link accounting controls to the bribery risks identified
- Define indicators that reflect the real effectiveness of the framework
