Description

Artificial Intelligence for the Consultant-Trainer: Designing, Delivering and Assessing

Using artificial intelligence tools without diluting the consultant-trainer's own added value

  • 5 days — 35 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • All levels
  • Up to 6 participants

Consultant-trainers now have access to tools that generate a programme outline, a slide deck or a questionnaire within minutes. The temptation is to delegate everything; the risk is delivering polished content that is poorly anchored in the client's business and impossible to defend in the room.

Five days to embed these tools where they genuinely save time without eroding instructional quality. The programme covers needs analysis, session design, production of materials and assessments, AI-assisted delivery, and the confidentiality and fee-setting questions specific to consulting work.

Learning objectives

  • Identify the consultant-trainer tasks where these tools deliver a real gain
  • Write precise instructions to obtain a usable output
  • Design a learning progression that is AI-assisted then refined by hand
  • Produce materials and assessments aligned with the client's requirement
  • Check the reliability and confidentiality of the content produced
  • Explain to the client the share of automation within the engagement

What makes this programme different

Each participant develops a course they already deliver throughout the programme
Every automated output is systematically challenged from a practitioner's standpoint
The programme addresses client data confidentiality and the impact on fee structures

Programme

1Mapping Your Tasks and the Potential Gain

Where the tool helps and where it hinders

  • Break down the consultant-trainer's assignments into elementary tasks
  • Identify repetitive tasks with low added value
  • Determine what genuinely requires professional judgement
  • Set your own rules of use before starting

2Analysing the Need and Framing the Brief

Preparing the assignment

  • Use client documents to establish the context
  • Write instructions that produce a usable output
  • Generate hypotheses on the need to be validated with the sponsor
  • Prepare the questions for the scoping meeting

3Designing the Progression and the Activities

Keeping control of the pedagogy

  • Build a progression based on observable objectives
  • Generate variants of activities then select among them
  • Adapt content to the actual level of the participants
  • Check the consistency between objectives, activities and assessment

4Producing Materials and Assessments

Saving time on production

  • Draft and format session materials
  • Build assessments aligned with the objectives
  • Generate credible case studies and role plays for the sector
  • Review the content produced before release

5Professional Framework and Client Relationship

What the consultant takes responsibility for

  • Protect the data entrusted by the client
  • Verify sources and correct errors in the content produced
  • Explain your working method to the sponsor
  • Review your offer and your terms of engagement
