Dossiers dealing with protected species almost always fail on the same points. The absence of a satisfactory alternative is covered in a few lines. The overriding public interest is asserted rather than established. The effect on the conservation status of the populations concerned is never assessed. The opinion issued is unfavourable and the project is put on hold.

A one-day workshop, delivered in-person or virtually and reserved for practitioners. You work on the argumentation supporting each of the three required conditions. You structure surveys and the assessment of effects on populations. You prepare the appearance before the review committee and your responses to the criticisms raised.

Prerequisites

Proven experience of regulatory ecological assessment dossiers is required.

Before the programme
Online positioning questionnaire. Your development objectives are shared with the trainer, who tailors the practical case studies to your context.
Teaching methods
Theoretical input, workshops and practical case studies. Digital course materials and method sheets provided.
Assessment
Multiple-choice tests and role-play exercises. Assessment of learning at the start and end of the programme, with immediate and 60-day follow-up evaluations.
After the programme
One year of access to the e-learning platform. Self-assessment of the skills acquired and a 30-day follow-up session with your trainer.
