Description

Frontline Management: Setting the Daily Framework, Communicating and Steering Activity

A short session to establish the core practices of frontline management, close to the operational floor

  • 0.14 days — 1 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • All levels
  • Up to 6 participants

The frontline manager sits between production and supervision. They handle day-to-day disruptions, respond to team requests and pass on instructions issued elsewhere, usually without dedicated time to build their managerial posture or to step back and review their practices.

One hour online to identify the practices that give structure to the working day: giving a clear instruction, running a short team huddle, responding to a deviation and escalating what is blocking progress. The format works as a targeted refresher or as a first step before a longer programme.

Learning objectives

  • Give a clear instruction and check that it has been understood
  • Run a short team huddle focused on the day's activity
  • Respond to a quality or behavioural deviation as soon as it occurs
  • Escalate to senior management the difficulties that fall outside your remit

What makes this programme different

A one-hour online format that fits between two shifts
Each managerial practice is illustrated by a commented field situation
A reference sheet is provided for immediate use the following day
