Description

ISO 9001: Reading the Standard, Structuring Your Quality System and Preparing for Audit

Turning a standard often experienced as a documentation burden into a quality system that is genuinely used

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

In many organisations the quality management system lives alongside the real work. Procedures are written then forgotten, records are completed the day before the audit and process owners do not always know what the standard expects of them. The certificate is obtained but quality does not improve.

These two days provide an operational reading of ISO 9001. Participants connect the requirements of the standard to the activities of their own organisation, build a usable process map and identify the evidence that is genuinely expected. They leave with an audit preparation framework and an action plan for their own system.

Learning objectives

  • Position ISO 9001 requirements in relation to the activities of your organisation
  • Build a process map that reflects how the organisation actually works
  • Identify the risks and opportunities attached to each process
  • Select the documented information and evidence that are genuinely necessary
  • Prepare a management review and a certification audit

What makes this programme different

Each participant works on the process map of their own organisation
A clear distinction is drawn between documents required by the standard and those added out of habit
A mock audit on a real process closes the session
