Description
Logistics and Transport Services: Scoping, Contracting and Performance Management
Regain control of your logistics and transport providers without endless crisis meetings
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Outsourcing warehousing or transport does not transfer accountability: the client organisation remains answerable for lead times, the condition of goods and the delivered cost to the customer. Without a precise contract and shared indicators, the relationship often comes down to trading blame after an incident and to invoices that are difficult to verify.
These two days cover the full provider relationship cycle: defining the requirement, drafting the specification, running the tender, contracting, managing through indicators and conducting performance reviews. Participants leave with a specification template and an evaluation grid ready to apply to their own providers.
Learning objectives
- Formalise a logistics or transport requirement in a workable specification document
- Compare provider offers on a consistent basis
- Identify the contractual clauses that protect the client organisation
- Build a dashboard to monitor service delivery
- Conduct a performance review and address gaps with the provider
