Description
Organisation and Productivity: Planning, Prioritising and Delivering on Commitments
Regaining control of your working day when incoming requests dictate the order of the work
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
The day fills up with other people's urgent requests while substantive files slip back week after week. You work hard and finish the week with the feeling that nothing has genuinely moved forward. The issue is not the volume of work but the absence of clear criteria for deciding what comes first.
Two days to put in place a simple, sustainable organisation system: gathering all your tasks in one place, sorting them by real value, protecting blocks of focused working time and handling interruptions without giving way to every request. Each participant builds their own system during the programme and tests it over the following week.
Learning objectives
- Analyse how your time is actually spent over one week
- Distinguish the urgent from the important in order to arbitrate between tasks
- Plan your week while reserving blocks of focused working time
- Handle interruptions and last-minute requests
- Track your own commitments and those of your counterparts
