PRINCE2: Applying the Themes, Tailoring the Framework and Achieving Certification

Two days to apply a process-based project method and approach the advanced examination with confidence

Knowing a project method is not the same as applying it. The advanced-level examination places candidates in a corporate scenario and expects justified decisions rather than recited definitions. In the field, the same pitfall recurs: the method is applied to the letter on small projects, or dropped altogether as soon as the context becomes complex.

These 14 hours focus on applying and tailoring the method to a given context. Participants work through a single running scenario, produce the expected management products and justify their tailoring choices. Examination practice takes up a significant share of the session, including analysis of reasoning errors.

Project managers and project team members already familiar with a structured method and working towards an advanced-level certification.

Prerequisites

A working command of the principles and terminology of the method, as acquired at foundation level, is required.

Practical details

Before the programme
Online positioning questionnaire. Your development objectives are shared with the trainer, who tailors the practical case studies to your context.
Teaching methods
Theoretical input, workshops and practical case studies. Digital course materials and method sheets provided.
Assessment
Multiple-choice tests and role-play exercises. Assessment of learning at the start and end of the programme, with immediate and 60-day follow-up evaluations.
After the programme
One year of access to the e-learning platform. Self-assessment of the skills acquired and a 30-day follow-up session with your trainer.
