Project Risks and Opportunities: Identify, Assess and Respond

Two days to move beyond the risk register that sits forgotten in a folder and genuinely address uncertainty

Risk registers are often completed at kick-off and then abandoned. Uncertain events occur regardless, and the project discovers them at the point where they cost the most. Opportunities are almost never managed, even though they create valuable room for manoeuvre. Contingency provisions are set on instinct and prove insufficient.

These 14 hours put in place a living risk management process. Participants build a register on a real project, assess the events they fear most and select responses with a named owner and a due date. Managing opportunities and running periodic reviews are practised through to the closing lessons-learned session.

Practical details

Before the programme
Online positioning questionnaire. Your development objectives are shared with the trainer, who tailors the practical case studies to your context.
Teaching methods
Theoretical input, workshops and practical case studies. Digital course materials and method sheets provided.
Assessment
Multiple-choice tests and role-play exercises. Assessment of learning at the start and end of the programme, with immediate and 60-day follow-up evaluations.
After the programme
One year of access to the e-learning platform. Self-assessment of the skills acquired and a 30-day follow-up session with your trainer.
