ISO 9001 certification is often presented to teams as a constraint imposed by management or by a client: procedures to follow, records to complete and an auditor who visits once a year. Nobody explains what the whole thing is for, so forms are filled in after the event and the audit becomes a tidying-up exercise.

One day to give the approach real meaning: the overall logic of the standard, the useful vocabulary, the structuring requirements and the role expected of each person. This programme is designed for those who experience the system without steering it, process ownership being covered by a dedicated programme.

Understanding what a management system is for

  • Understand what certification covers and what it does not guarantee

What the standard actually asks for

  • Understand the continuous improvement logic that underpins the text
  • Position the process approach and risk-based thinking
  • Identify the requirements relating to competence and resources
  • Identify the documents and records expected
  • Connect these requirements to practices already in place in the organisation

3Your Role Day to Day

Contributing without adding weight to your work

  • Identify what the approach expects from your position
  • Report a non-conformity and propose an improvement
  • Complete a record at the moment when it is meaningful
  • Behave as an auditee without fear or over-explanation
  • Know where to find the information you need

Practical details

Before the programme
Online positioning questionnaire. Your development objectives are shared with the trainer, who tailors the practical case studies to your context.
Teaching methods
Theoretical input, workshops and practical case studies. Digital course materials and method sheets provided.
Assessment
Multiple-choice tests and role-play exercises. Assessment of learning at the start and end of the programme, with immediate and 60-day follow-up evaluations.
After the programme
One year of access to the e-learning platform. Self-assessment of the skills acquired and a 30-day follow-up session with your trainer.
