Description

Supplier Quality Audits: Preparation, Execution and Action Plan Follow-Up

Go on site to verify what the contract promises and leave with corrective actions that are actually closed

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Outsourcing a service does not transfer responsibility for the result. Yet supplier visits are often reduced to a commercial meeting, with no reference framework and no evidence collected. Findings remain verbal, the action plan is never closed out, and the client organisation discovers the failures through its own end customers.

These two days provide an audit method accessible to non-auditors. Participants define the audit scope from the contract, then prepare their questionnaire and audit plan. They conduct on-site interviews with a focus on gathering evidence, formalise usable findings and track corrective actions through to closure.

Learning objectives

  • Define the scope of a supplier audit based on the contract and applicable requirements
  • Prepare an audit plan and questionnaire suited to the service concerned
  • Conduct audit interviews with a focus on tangible evidence
  • Formulate factual findings that distinguish non-conformities from improvement opportunities
  • Write an audit report that is clear for both the supplier and senior management
  • Track the corrective action plan through to closure

What makes this programme different

A complete audit is simulated on a fictitious site with roles played by the group
Participants build their questionnaire from their own contracts
Findings drafted during the session are reviewed collectively for factual accuracy
