Description
The HR Function: Structuring Your Role, Advising and Convincing
Holding together day-to-day administration and advisory support to managers without sacrificing one for the other
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Taking up an HR role means discovering a profession built on urgency. A contract to be issued, a manager asking for a decision, an employee in difficulty, and a substantive project that slips week after week. Credibility is built in exactly those moments, and usually without any instruction manual.
Two days to set the markers of the role: scope and stakeholders, command of core processes, an advisory stance with managers and the organisation of your own workload. The difficult situations brought by participants are worked through as a group.
Learning objectives
- Position the scope of the HR function and its internal and external stakeholders
- Master the sequence of everyday HR processes from hiring to departure
- Respond to a manager's request from an advisory stance
- Secure the reliability of the HR data and documents produced
- Organise your workload between urgent matters and substantive projects
- Identify the questions that must be escalated to a specialist
