Description

Training with Artificial Intelligence: Producing, Personalising and Governing

Twenty-one hours to embed generative tools in your work as a trainer without losing control

  • 3 days — 21 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Generative tools have already entered the working day of trainers. They quickly produce an outline, a questionnaire or a case study. They also produce content that is plausible but wrong, and examples that sit outside your context. The question is no longer whether to use them, but how to remain accountable for what you deliver.

These 21 hours focus on how the trainer uses these tools. Participants learn to formulate precise requests, to check what comes back, to produce usable activities and to personalise learner support. A dedicated session covers the data entrusted to these tools and transparency towards participants.

Learning objectives

  • Formulate a precise request to a generative tool and refine it through iterations
  • Check the instructional validity of content produced by a tool
  • Produce training materials and activities with the support of these tools
  • Adapt content to different audience levels from a common base
  • Identify data that must not be entrusted to an external tool
  • Explain to participants the extent to which tools were used in the design

What makes this programme different

A library of standard prompts built by the group around its own needs as trainers
An error-detection exercise on training content produced by a tool
A usage charter drafted during the session and adaptable to each organisation's framework

Programme

1Capabilities and Limits of Generative Tools

What they can and cannot do

  • Nature of the content produced and reasons for errors
  • Trainer tasks where the added value is real
  • Tasks where the tool costs time
  • Vocabulary needed to engage with internal teams

2Formulating and Refining Your Requests

Precision drives the result

  • Elements to provide in order to obtain a usable output
  • Describing the audience, the context and the expected format
  • Sequencing follow-up prompts to improve an output
  • Storing and reusing effective prompts

3Producing Materials and Activities

Saving time on content

  • Generating case studies and role-play scenarios
  • Drafting assessment questions and their answer keys
  • Rewriting existing content for a different audience
  • Systematic checking before inclusion in a training material

4Personalisation and Learner Support

Adapting without multiplying the workload

  • Adapting content to the level of participants
  • Support in preparing individualised feedback
  • Use of these tools by learners themselves
  • Instructions to give so that use does not replace the learning effort

5Responsible Framework

Data, transparency and accountability

  • Information that must not be shared with an external tool
  • The question of source content and its reuse
  • Informing participants about the tools used
  • Internal rules to establish within a training organisation

Who is it for

Trainers, instructional designers and learning managers who wish to use artificial intelligence tools in their practice.

Prerequisites

Practical experience in designing or delivering training.
