Description
Group Treasury: Centralising Cash Flows, Funding Subsidiaries and Managing Risk
Centralising treasury across a group calls for legal rigour as much as banking technique
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Expert
- Up to 6 participants
Within a group, one subsidiary's surplus cash often sits alongside another's overdraft. Centralisation promises to resolve this, but it commits the group to a treasury agreement, to the terms applied to subsidiaries and to the tax treatment of interest. Finance functions frequently hesitate between several structures without measuring their operational and accounting effects.
These two days are designed for experienced practitioners. You compare centralisation structures, then work on the intragroup treasury agreement and the remuneration of current accounts, as well as the management of intragroup funding and counterparty risk.
Learning objectives
- Compare group cash centralisation structures and their effects
- Build the principles of an intragroup treasury agreement
- Organise subsidiary funding and the remuneration of current accounts
- Manage the group's consolidated position and its funding requirements
- Frame bank counterparty risk at group level
