Description

Leading with Presence: Clarifying Your Posture, Owning Your Decisions and Inspiring Your Team

Two days to move from holding a title to holding a genuine leadership posture in front of your team

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Being appointed a manager does not make you credible. Many managers follow the processes and run their meetings yet still sense that the team is not moving behind them. Decisions are carried out without conviction and initiative remains rare.

This two-day programme works on posture: what you convey, what you say about your choices and the way you engage others. The exercises start from your own team situations and the session closes with a personal development plan.

Learning objectives

  • Define your own view of the leader's role and distinguish it from positional authority
  • Identify your personal strengths and the behaviours that weaken your posture
  • Set a clear intention before every address to your team
  • Own an unpopular decision by explaining it without becoming defensive
  • Build a development plan covering three identified management situations

What makes this programme different

A posture self-assessment completed and then tested against feedback from the group
Role-play exercises built around participants' real teams
A written development plan with deadlines agreed at the end of the session
