Description

Process Communication: Identifying Profiles, Adapting and Preventing Tension

Understand why the same message lands perfectly with some colleagues and very poorly with others

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

Two team members receive the same instruction. One finds it clear and efficient, the other considers it curt and dismissive. These differences in perception stem neither from ill will nor from the content itself, but from differing communication preferences that are rarely spotted in time.

A short format to identify the main communication styles observable at work, recognise those of the people around you and adjust your wording accordingly. Participants work on real professional relationships and learn to spot the signals that precede tension.

Learning objectives

  • Describe the main communication styles observable in work situations
  • Identify your own dominant style and its effects on others
  • Recognise a counterpart's communication style from concrete signals
  • Adapt your wording to your counterpart's style
  • Spot the early signals of tension and respond to them

What makes this programme different

Work is based on real professional relationships brought by participants
The same instructions are reworded live for four different styles
An adjustment plan is drafted for a relationship that is currently difficult
