Description
Recruiting People of Determination: Sourcing, Job Adjustment and Onboarding
Remove the hesitation felt by recruiters and managers when an application mentions a disability
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
An application mentions a disability and the recruitment process stalls. The manager worries about the pace of work. The recruiter does not know which questions are acceptable. Nobody knows what support can be mobilised. The role is eventually filled elsewhere without the candidate's skills ever being properly examined.
A short programme, delivered in person or virtually, focused on recruitment and the first weeks in the role. You learn to write an open job advert and to run a skills-based interview. You separate what relates to health from what relates to the job. You prepare the workplace adjustment with the right contacts and organise the welcome within the team.
Learning objectives
- Write a job advert and a selection process open to all applications
- Run a skills-based interview without raising matters of health
- Identify the internal contacts and external support available for a workplace adjustment
- Prepare the arrival within the team, agreeing with the employee on what will be shared
- Recognise the situations that justify referral to an occupational health provider
