Description

Remote Meetings: Framing, Engaging Participants and Reaching Decisions on Video

Facilitate remotely without monologues or awkward silences, and secure genuine decisions before the session ends

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

When meetings move online, the usual mechanisms weaken. Speaking turns overlap or fade away, cameras stay off, the facilitator talks alone and participants deal with their messages in parallel. Decisions are pushed from one session to the next.

Two days to build genuinely participative remote meetings: short formats, distributed roles, collective work sequences adapted to online tools, and a systematic close on documented decisions. Participants facilitate in turn and receive feedback from the group.

Learning objectives

  • Select the format and duration of a remote meeting according to its objective
  • Distribute facilitation roles to support participation
  • Facilitate collective work sequences using shared online tools
  • Manage speaking turns and re-engage a silent group
  • Formalise decisions and actions before the session ends

What makes this programme different

Each participant facilitates a remote sequence and receives feedback from the group
Facilitation formats tested live on the tools used by participants
Handling of difficult situations: cameras off, divided attention and hybrid meetings
