Description
SharePoint — Online Collaborative Workspaces: Organise, Share and Manage Permissions
Replace email attachments and network folders with a workspace where everyone finds the right version
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
Documents travel as email attachments, everyone works on their own copy and nobody knows which one is authoritative. Shared folders pile up with no naming convention, permissions were opened widely to save time, and a single departure is enough to cut off access to an entire folder.
These 14 hours are used to build a team workspace that lasts: library structure, metadata and views instead of sub-folders, co-authoring and version history, controlled internal and external sharing. Each participant leaves with a team site structured around their own requirements.
Learning objectives
- Navigate a team site and identify its components
- Create a document library and define its metadata columns
- Build filtered views that replace stacked sub-folders
- Co-author a document and restore a previous version
- Share a file internally and externally with the appropriate permission level
- Synchronise a library to your workstation
