Description

Social Media Level 1: Understanding Platforms, Posting and Engaging

Acquire the core skills needed to take charge of your organisation's professional social media channels

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Foundation
  • Up to 6 participants

A page has been opened on several networks but nobody is quite sure what each one is for. Posts go out irregularly, incoming messages go unanswered, and practices differ so much from one platform to another that the same content ends up being published everywhere.

This first level lays the foundations over two days: how each platform works and who uses it, setting up business pages, writing a post, engaging a community and responding to comments. Level 2 builds the editorial strategy and Level 3 covers performance measurement.

Learning objectives

  • Distinguish the main platforms, their audiences and their uses
  • Set up a business page and manage its access rights
  • Write a post suited to the chosen network
  • Engage a community and respond to comments
  • Organise simple market monitoring for your sector

What makes this programme different

Participants' business pages are configured during the session
The posts written are published and then reviewed by the group
A response template for difficult comments is built and taken away
