Description
The Administrative Assistant: Organising, Communicating and Tracking Key Responsibilities
Holding together organisation, communication and file follow-up without being driven by urgent requests
- 2 days — 14 h
- In-person or virtual
- Foundation
- Up to 6 participants
An administrative support role fills up with a little of everything: a diary that keeps shifting, requests arriving by telephone and by email at the same time, files waiting to be chased. Without clear markers on what the role actually covers, you deal with whatever is loudest and let what matters slip.
Two days to set out the responsibilities that give the role its structure: organising work and information, communicating with internal and external contacts, and tracking files through to completion. Each participant leaves with a map of their own role and a personal development plan.
Learning objectives
- Define the scope of your role and your areas of autonomy
- Organise diaries and travel while anticipating disruptions
- Structure filing systems and the flow of information
- Adapt written and verbal communication to each contact
- Track files through to closure
