Description

Voluntary ESG Reporting: Define Your Scope, Collect the Data and Publish Your Sustainability Report

Build a first voluntary sustainability report that your clients and your banks can actually read

  • 2 days — 14 h
  • In-person or virtual
  • Intermediate
  • Up to 6 participants

Companies that fall outside mandatory reporting requirements still receive sustainability questionnaires from their corporate clients and their banks. Each requester asks for different indicators in different formats, and the answers are pieced together at the last minute from data scattered across accounting, human resources and procurement.

Over two days, participants build a voluntary report based on the simplified reporting standard for small and mid-sized enterprises: scope selection and level of disclosure, collection of environmental, social and governance data, consistency checks and report drafting. A data collection calendar and a report outline are produced during the session.

Learning objectives

  • Position voluntary sustainability reporting in relation to the requests received from corporate clients
  • Define the reporting scope and the level of disclosure retained
  • Organise the collection of environmental, social and governance data
  • Check the consistency and traceability of the indicators published
  • Draft a sustainability report that an external reader can understand

What makes this programme different

A data collection calendar is built with the departments that hold the data
Client questionnaires brought by participants are mapped against the standard's indicators
The report outline is drafted in the session and leaves ready to be completed
